In 2007, NJMET Inc. was
selected among five companies to appear on TV’s “Heartbeat of America” honoring
American businesses, their innovations and technologies that impact the future
of our country. On May 2, 2007, Hollywood producer Bert Tenzer nominated NJMET
for the industry’s prestigious “Keeping America Strong” award.
NJMET’s President Giacomo
Federico and Vice President Joseph Federico were flown out to Los Angeles to
shoot the upcoming television broadcast special which will be hosted by William
Shatner and former Peoples Court announcer Doug Llewelyn. It celebrates NJMET’s
accomplishment of being the first laboratory in the world to develop an
Electronic Counterfeit Detection Program, which will help the military,
commercial, industrial, aerospace and medical industries protect themselves
against this global epidemic. During the television program, retired U.S. Navy
Rear Admiral Kevin F. Delaney presented NJMET with “The Keeping America Strong”
award.
Episodes of this program
will be featured throughout the country beginning in December of 2007 and
continuing throughout year 2008. NJMET’s website
